ASYLUM ASSISTANCE

Have you left your country of residence and are unable to return due to persecution? You may wish to claim asylum in the UK. Here, at Wortley Legal Consultants, we can provide comprehensive guidance and advice on all asylum matters.

Claiming asylum in the UK can be an extremely challenging,

worrying and complex experience. The decision-making

process is also highly stressful and upsetting for applicants.

We are dedicated specialists in this complex area, who are

committed to providing you the expert advice, help and care

you deserve.

About Asylum:

If you are fleeing your country of origin and are unable to

return due to a fear of persecution, based on your race,

religion, nationality, political opinion, or sexuality etc, and wish

to claim asylum in the UK, we are on hand to help you.

You will normally be expected to have made your asylum

claim, immediately, on your entry to the UK, and will need to

explain why and provide as much information as possible if

you do not claim asylum immediately when you entered the

UK.

If you do not claim asylum immediately, you will need to

register your claim at the screening unit in Croydon. The

exception to this process is if you have arrived in the UK via

Northern Ireland. Then you may make an asylum claim at The

Bryson Asylum Service.

How We Can Help:

•We will provide you with comprehensive advice and guidance

on your asylum claim.

•We will help you gather as much documentary evidence as

possible to help show that your fear of persecution is

well-founded.

•We will also help you obtain any objective evidence  which

may support your case ( i.e. evidence from reliable sources on

the situation in your country of origin).

•We will assist you in writing down your testimony, and will

submit representations on your behalf to support your claim.

•We will complete your asylum claim on your behalf.

•We will attend any subsequent screening or substantive

interview with the Home Office.

•We will liaise with the Home office on your behalf, whilst your

application is being processed.
