Who Is This Visa For:

 

This is a shorter visa category, permitting non-EEA and non-Swiss

nationals who have been invited to the UK as experts of their

profession  to come to the UK to undertake a paid engagement.

 

This visa route is commonly used by academics, artists and

performers, broadcasters, specialist researchers for paid

engagements such as public speaking, attending conferences,

chairing meetings. 

 

 

 

Eligibility Requirements:

 

To be eligible for this visa, you must have ben invited by a UK- based organisation or client, and be coming to the UK to do specific paid

work.

You must also satisfy the maintenance requirement. 

 

Successful applicants are permitted to stay in the UK for a maximum

period of 1 month. 

 

 

What You Can Do?

 

There are various activities, depending on your area of expertise and

you profession which are permitted to do, for example:

 

• You can give lectures

 

• You can take part in selection panels.

 

• You can do minor activities relating to your work or business

overseas, (such as attend meetings). 

 

• You may not however;

 

• Do paid work unrelated to your main job or the care of your

expertise .

 

• Sell merchandise/ do direct selling

 

• Extend your stay in the UK

 

• Switch to another visa category under this route. 

 

• Bring dependent family members with you.
