START-UP VISA

Are you a prospective investor, entrepreneur, or wanting to start up a business venture in the UK? Whether you are setting up a new UK business, relocating your business or setting up a subsidiary of a parent company, you will need to consider how to establish your business in the UK, and may also possibly consider how to employ any non-UK or non- European nationals. We possess the experience to assist you on the relevant procedures to ensure that your UK start-up proceeds successfully. If you require a visa to work in the UK, you may consider an Investor or Innovator Visa.

The Start-Up Visa

Application

Replacing the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa,  this visa allows

those less experienced entrepreneurs, who are classed as ‘high

potential’ to set up a business in the UK, providing their business is a

new idea, innovative and viable.

Other Eligibility Requirements and Leave of Stay:

Although, you will not need funds to invest in your business, to be

eligible for the start-up visa, you must not have previously set up a

business in the UK. The visa will also requires you to be endorsed by

a UK University or an approved business sponsor. Universities, will

usually provide endorsement for their own students, however, any

applicant can apply to be endorsed providing that you have a

commercial idea which is translatable into a viable business plan.

As a prospective entrepreneur, you may apply from outside of the UK

or may switch into this visa route from Tier 1(Graduate Entrepreneur),

Tier 2 and Tier 4 (General) visas subject to certain restrictions.

This visa is granted for a determined two- year period allowing you to

enact your business plans, however, you may not apply for an

extension of leave under this visa, (although you may be able to

switch to an Innovator Visa).
